A 55 year old farmer at Kwakukrom near Fomena in the Adansi North district of Ashanti Peter Amoah yesterday allegedly killed his 48 year old wife Afua Tiwaah.
Amoah is said to have chased the wife when she was going to Old Ayaase and hit her with a club bottle leading to her death.
A source close to the village said the man after killing the wife drunk poison to end his life but people who sow him arrested and handed him to the police who also send him to the hospital where he is receiving treatment.
The son of the deceased Isaac Asare in a chat with Adom news said he was putting up a house at Old Ayaase for his parents but the father out of jealousy might have thought the wife was rather building the house and that another man might have given her money to do so and killed her.
