In order to put education first and address the school’s infrastructure issues, the Parent Association (PA), formerly known as the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), of Boa Amponsem Senior High School in the Upper Denkyira East Municipality of the central region, donated 100 Mono desks to the school.
The act is intended to assist in addressing the issue of students having too few desks due to the rising number of new students.
Daniel Wallace Achempong, the P.A. Chairman who made the presentation to the school, claimed in an interview with Mohammed Radiu Dinn Rasko, Adom News, that the P.A. discovered there weren’t enough desks for the students given the rising enrollment.
He claimed that the act was also a part of their obligation to support the establishment of a supportive atmosphere for teaching and learning at the school.
He continued by stating that the school will soon be fenced in to ensure the safety of both teachers and students.
Meanwhile, when receiving the gifts, Grace Anopong, the school’s headmistress, thanked the P.A.
She pledged to see to it that the desks are utilised for the intended purpose for which they were provided.
She continued by stating that the school’s poor water supply and internal infrastructure were two of its biggest problems, and she pleaded for assistance from business organisations, former students, and donors.
