Two Men Arrested for Alleged Witchcraft-Related Murder
Three individuals tragically lost their lives when the vehicle they were traveling in veered off the road and plunged into a river at Enyiresi, located along the Accra to Kumasi highway.
The ill-fated car was a private Hyundai Sonata bearing the registration number GS 7776-19.
This devastating incident occurred on the evening of Friday, May 19, 2023.
The bodies of the victims were recovered from the river by personnel from the National Ambulance Service and Ghana National Fire Service, who swiftly responded to the scene. Eyewitnesses provided an account of the events leading up to the accident, stating that the driver of the Hyundai Sonata, in a desperate attempt to avoid a head-on collision with an oncoming Sprinter bus that was illegally overtaking, lost control of the steering wheel. As a result, the vehicle somersaulted and tragically plummeted into the nearby river, claiming the lives of all three occupants.
Reports indicate that the deceased were en route to Nkoranza in the Bono East Region to attend a funeral and pay their final respects to a mother who had passed away. This heart-wrenching accident has sent shockwaves through the community and has left family and friends grieving for their loved ones.
