Medical Superintendent for Dunkwa Municipal Government Hospital, Dr. John Benjamin Annan, in the Upper Denkyira East Municipality of the central region has called on benevolent Individuals, Stakeholders and NGOs to assist the facility with Phototherapy machine and Laboratory equipment to ensure quality health delivery at the hospital.
According to him the Phototherapy machine will be used in the treatment of neonatal jaundice in babies.
Neonatal jaundice is common condition in newborn babies.
“Phototherapy is often used to reduce levels of unconjugated bilirubin that may result in acute or chronic brain damage,”he said.
He made these call when Dunkwa-Mfuom Roman Catholic church donated some items to the hospital children ward.
He therefore urged Ghanaians to Prioritize their health and general wellbeing than focused on making money more than taking care of themselves.
Meanwhile,Mr. Bernard Obeng Nuamah Church secretary Dunkwa-Mfuom Roman Catholic church said the support to the hospital was their cooperate social responsibilities.
