Ghanaian club Kumasi Asante Kotoko have appointed Burkina Faso gaffer Seydou Zerbo as the club’s new coach following the exit of Prosper Narteh
The experienced trainer is expected to lead the Porcupine Warriors until the end of the upcoming campaign following the exit of Prosper Narteh Ogum.
Zerbo signed a one-year deal with Kotoko with an option to extend for another year.
He arrived in Ghana last night to conclude negotiations and other documentations to become the next head coach of the Porcupine Warriors.
The 59-year-old replaces Ghana Premier League winning coach Prosper Narteh who resigned at the end of the season.
Dr. Ogum guided the Ghanaian giants to clinch the Ghana Premier League title for the first time in eight years.
“We are delighted to Announce Burkinabè trainer, Seydou Zerbo as our new Head Coach for one season with an option for a further year” the club tweeted.

Zerbo’s last managed the Burkina Faso national team at the 2020 CHAN tournament in Cameroon, where Stallions exited at the group stages.
The highly-rated tactician begun his coaching career in the 2013-14 season when he was in charge of Rail Club du Kadiogo.
He later coached Bankuy Sports from 2014 to 2016 before heading to SONABEL and giants ASFA Yennenga.
Zerbo’s last team was Union Sportive des Forces Armées before he was handed the local national team job.
