The Police are on a manhunt to identify and arrest an assailant who attacked a Police Officer at Zebilla on Wednesday, July 6, 2022.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Public Affairs Officer of the Upper East Regional Command of the Ghana Police Service, ASP David Fianko-Okyere and copied to a1radioonline.com.
“The officer was attacked near the Zebilla Senior High School where the assailant inflicted machete wounds on the head and other parts of the body and also made away with an AK47 assault rifle.”
“The officer was taken to the Zebilla District Hospital and later transferred to the Tamale Teaching Hospital responding to treatment. We wish to assure the public that we will surely get the perpetrator arrested, retrieve the stolen weapon and bring him to face justice,” portions of the statement read.
