Heavy-duty Truck Stuck On Jukwa Bridge [IMAGES + VIDEO]
The Ghana Highway Authority has intended to carry out permanent works to reinstate the washout which occurred at Jukwa bridge on the Cape Coast – Twifo Praso Road.
In view of this, the Cape Coast – Twifo Praso Road will be closed from 6.00am Monday, 27th June 2022 to Thursday, 30th June, 2022 to allow works to proceed unhindered.
Motorists travelling between Cape Coast and Twifo Praso Road are advised to use the Cape Coast – Yamoransa – Assin Fosu – Twifo Praso Road.
The Cape Coast – Twifo Praso Road will be opened to vehicular traffic on Friday, 1st July, 2022.
Background
The recent downpour resulted in a bridge washout that led to a cut-off at Jukwa.
The Ghana Highway Authority then took taken necessary steps within 24hours to ensure that the road is reinstated as soon as practicable.
But the unfortunate happened this morning as a heavy duty truck got struck in the bridge causing heavy traffic on the Twifo Praso-CapeCoast Road .
