The celebration of Ghana’s independence on its 65th year to mark the day Ghana freed from its Colonial masters to become a freedom and independent, saw a colourful event across the country on Sunday, March 6, 2022.
According to Mr. Afful Manu Benjamin, Proprietor of Stars of Hope Montessori Academy and a business tycoon, stated that looking at the current state of the country, it looks like it is now looking for a way to be freed, which is so disturbing as it still depends on foreign aids to help itself.
The business tycoon in an interview with Appiah Kubi, on Tain Fm Anɔpa Nkɔmmɔ, spoke about the state of Ghana at 65, saying, the country has a sign of no qualifications to be independent, since the country can’t produce some common products by itself but still depends on foreign countries for survival.
He continued, “God has blessed Ghana with all the natural and human resources but still lacks the ability to produce something from them, whiles we boast of having good and quality education, which we can’t even use the educational structures to implement anything for the country”.
He bemoaned on Ghana’s importations of some common products like ‘Toilet papers, some common foods, clothing, etc.
Expressing his bitterness on the current state of the nation at 65 years, he said the reason why Ghana is retarding in production and development is the Educational lifestyle.
“Ghanaians doesn’t value skills training but have the interest in reading, writing and English speaking, the theory aspect, book knowledge is the cause of Ghana’s problem with production and development”, the businessman cried out.
Mr. Afful further spoke on the solutions to the country’s development by urging Ghanaians to engage in skill training and further education in production, hence the introduction of the Technical Vocational Education Training (TVET) initiative. With the help of good and quality management knowledge, Ghana can be at its best.
Finally, he assured that things hasn’t worsened yet because Ghana still have a God sent man called Apostle Kwadwo Sarfo (Kantanka automobile) who is trying his possible best to lift the country with the can do spirit to a standard level with his productivities. He urged the government for full support for him.
He pleaded.
