The District Chief Executive Officer for Upper Denkyira East in the Central region, Richmond Koduah has donated mathematical sets to Basic Education Certificate Examination [BECE] candidates in his constituency.
The mathematical sets of 1500 pieces were donated to Junior High School final year students on Thursday.
The equipment will assist the BECE candidates as they come face to face with their final exams next week.
Speaking to the media after the presentation, the DCE indicated that, last year the district emerged first in the BECE Examination and so he is making this gesture to motivate and encourage them to be successfully .
He continued to inspired them to believe in themselves.
He also cautioned candidates to avoid any examination malpractices to prevent cancellation of their examination since their future depends on it.
Receiving the items on behalf of the District Director of Education, Mr Felix Tsckuma the exam coordinator described the kind gesture as timely, adding that his continuous support towards quality education in the district will help to improve candidates performance.
He said the district has organized mock exam for the candidate and so he believes that students are well prepared ahead of their BECE .
“I’m very confident that, the learning equipment will assist them to write and pass the examination,” he said.
He however entreated guardians to provide the necessary materials to their wards ahead of their final exams.
